Hudson Yards, New York
We had the opportunity to work on a complex project at Hudson Yards involving the complete rebuild of four staircases. The project, which took four months to complete, required our team to carefully dismantle and reconstruct each staircase down to its bearing structure. We installed new finished wood on-site, incorporating brass inserts for both aesthetic appeal and anti-slip functionality. One staircase featured unique backlit lighting, which we seamlessly integrated into the new design. Despite the heavy structure of each step—about 180 pounds per step and platforms weighing nearly a ton—the final result was nothing short of amazing. Throughout the process, we ensured the living spaces of the owner remained undisturbed.
